Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital, Centre of Excellence in Emergency and Critical Care, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event on Emergency and Critical Care on 29th January, 2025 at Radisson Hotel, Panorama, Ghubra. The event focused on the latest advancements in critical care management, featuring expert consultants and specialists in the field.


The CME was attended by various doctors, emergency care specialists and other healthcare experts. The sessions covered key topics in intensive care management, offering valuable insights into modern treatment approaches and best practices in emergency and critical care.


Four distinguished speakers from the Centre of Excellence in Emergency and Critical Care at Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital delivered insightful presentations.


Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abu Draz, Consultant Intensivist (Acute Intensive Care Unit), spoke on "Updates on Sepsis Management”. Dr. Mithun C Mohan, Specialist Internist, discussed "Latest in Multi-Organ Dysfunction”. Dr. Athira Sekhar J, Specialist Anaesthesiologist, presented on "Volume Assessment in ICU”. Dr. Jayasankar Surendar, Specialist Anaesthesiologist, elaborated on "Diaphragmatic Thickening Fraction and Excursion as an Assessment Tool in Weaning.”
