Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital, Centre of Excellence in Orthopaedics, Joint Replacements & Spine Surgeries, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event on Advancements in Orthopaedic Surgeries on 18th December, 2024 at Mercure Hotel, Al Khuwair. The event focused on the latest advancements in orthopaedic surgeries and treatments, featuring experienced surgeons in the field.
The CME was attended by various medical professionals, including orthopaedic surgeons and healthcare experts. The session provided valuable insights into latest developments in Knee Replacements and new information on Ligament Repair and Spine Surgery.

Dr. Joel Countinho, Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, presented on Recent Advances in Total Knee Replacement. Dr. Ahmed Al Mandhari, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, spoke on Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair: When to Do and Indications. Dr. Puneet Girdhar, Consultant Orthopaedics & Spine Surgery, delivered on Minimal Access Spine Surgery Changing Paradigm, and Dr. A. Venkateshwaran, Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, covered Unicompartmental Knee Replacement.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing attendees to discuss best practices and emerging trends in orthopaedic treatments. The CME was followed by a networking dinner.
