About Dr Premkumar Krishnappa
Dr. Premkumar Krishnappa is an eminent Urologist, Uro- Oncologist, Andrologist Robotic and Renal transplant surgeon, with rich surgical experience. He is an expert in laser urology procedures, reconstructive urology and Supine PCNL. Till 2024, he has performed over 1500 laser enabled transurethral prostate procedures (LASER TURP), over 3000 laser fragmentation of kidney (RIRS) and Ureteric stones(URS) and over 75 kidney transplants. He has immense experience in implantation of penile prosthesis and redo hypospadias surgery.
After his Masters in General surgery, he received his DNB urology certification from the prestigious St. John Medical College and Research Center, Bangalore. He is a teaching faculty for the DNB urology training programme at Fortis hospital. He has contributed many articles in various peer reviewed journals. He has also authored article on Urodynamics in a Uro-Gynaecology for the Gynaecology colleagues.
He is a Certified DaVinci Xi console surgeon and has immense experience in Robotic Urology procedures. He is experienced in managing cancers concerned with urinary and genital system. He has special interest in urethral surgeries, reconstructive Urology and Interventional Uro-radiology procedures.
